Tender horse heart seeks safe haven - Chabo waits for his human soul - Chabo is a beautiful, fawn-colored Spaniard who deep down just wants one thing: to arrive, to trust and to be loved. He is not a horse that pushes his way to the fore - he is more of a quiet observer who seeks security in new situations before carefully opening up. And yet an incredibly loyal, loving nature lies dormant within him - ready to give himself completely to his human if he is treated with patience.
He used to be ridden for leisure, was always well-behaved and still shows no naughtiness today. For some time now, however, he has no longer had any riding duties - instead, he was simply allowed to be a horse. He really enjoys being kept in an open stable in a small herd, but larger groups unsettle him. He is gentle but reserved when handled - but anyone who speaks quietly and radiates a clear sense of calm will soon realize how much Chabo wants to please.
He blossoms during ground work. Here he shows cautious interest, but is never demanding. He knows a lot of things - rugs, tarpaulins, little gimmicks - but he needs time, trust and a slow introduction. He likes it best when you give him security instead of demanding it.
Chabo also knows basic training under saddle. He has a fine go, but only really lets himself go when he can rely on his rider. In the field, he was only accompanied and showed himself to be curious, but always focused on his rider.
