Icelandic horse, Icelandic mare - Melkorka vom Felsalbtal is a 14-year-old Icelandic mare bred in Germany.
She is five-gaited and ridden exclusively for leisure. No eczema.
Color: earth colors.
She has a very kind, people-oriented character.
She likes riding out as well as working in the arena. She wants to please people and does everything she can to do what is asked of her.
However, she never forgets her own mind - so there are sometimes/on occasion discussions. If you have the right, consistent and fair arguments, she is also easy to change her mind. A harsh hand is not necessary with her.

She undergoes physiotherapy once or twice a year (or as required) and I have her saddle checked at least once a year.
She is vaccinated, is wormed regularly, twice a year, and the farrier comes every 7 weeks. She is shod. Usually barehoofed over the winter.

In March of this year, she was diagnosed with chronic obstructive bronchitis (RAO).
After drug treatment in the acute phase, a change of feed (from hay to haylage) and optimization of her husbandry, we have the symptoms well under control.

I would like to find her a person with horse sense, an open stable with a small group of nice friends.
It doesn't have to be exclusively Icelandic horses. As Melli is very friendly towards other horses, it usually works out with the big horse too.
She is currently in an open stable in a small herd of 3 horses.
Important: It must be a good fit in terms of keeping and feeding.
